Diablo IV Release Dates: Base Game, Expansions and Switch 2

In three years Diablo IV has become a base game plus two expansions across several platforms. This timeline is listed per platform so you can tell which batch your copy belongs to.

The timeline

Why dates differ by a day between sources

• Store pages follow your time zone. Lord of Hatred is listed as 27 April on Steam while public release records say 28 April. That is time zone and store refresh timing, nothing more.
• Platforms do not go live at the same instant. The Switch 2 release landed on 15 September 2026, the same day season 15 started. The two are unrelated.

When you need it to the hour, use your own platform’s store page plus the maintenance notice for your time zone.

What the Switch 2 version is

Diablo IV arrived on Switch 2 as the Age of Hatred Collection, bundling the base game and both expansions for $69.99. It is the series’ first release on a Nintendo platform.

Blizzard’s notes say the Switch 2 supports mouse and keyboard over USB, but not the Joy-Con 2 mouse function. Performance is covered on the Switch 2 review.
